We were attending a wedding in nearby Plumtree and after searching the internet for local accommodation we came across The Lodge and I’m so glad we did. Peter was most welcoming and the suite amazing furnished to a high standard. Breakfast was lovely cooked fresh at a time requested by us.

We stayed here the night of our wedding and can't describe how wonderful not only the lodge is but the hospitality of Peter the owner as well. Nothing is too much trouble and he makes you feel so at home and welcome! We stayed in the INCREDIBLE suite upstairs and what a perfect way this was to wake up on the first day as a married couple with stunning views and a lovely home cooked breakfast of our choice (anything we wanted) you simply have to visit here to see for yourselves! This is a little hidden gem in the village of Ruddington. I stayed there with my bridesmaids and mums the day before my wedding and it was just perfect! The rooms our gorgeous and have everything you need! Peter will also make you whatever you want for breakfast at a time to suit you so it was great as some of us where having breakfast whilst other were getting their hair done. i also loved the thai music played at breakfast, I think it really calmed my nerves down and I was happy and relaxed when getting ready. Definitely recommend it to my friends visiting Nottingham.

Perfect service from an amenable and vastly experienced host. Offered a glass of wine on arrival after a long journey Our suite was immaculate,spacious and very comfortable. By some significant margin the best b&b I've ever stayed in.

I arrived later than planned after a long drive and was greeted by Pete and made to feel super welcome straight away. Even though my parking was poor and I nudged one of the flower displays. Decor is a nice fusion of English and Oriental with some fun lighting effects outside. Access to the room was quick, friendly and simple. We agreed a time for a bespoke breakfast and I slept well in the comfy bed with quality pillows. Breakfast was prepared ready for 8, top coffee, delicious full cooked and some homemade ginger marmalade. I left set up ready for a busy day!
I would love to come back with my family and use the upstairs suite at some stage. It really did feel like visiting a very organised, super hospitable Uncle.Tim J

Our second stay at the lovely lodge. This time we was lucky to be able to stay in the upstairs suite, just beautiful and spotlessly clean. We had a fantastic nights sleep in the very comfy beds. Yet again Peter didn't fail to be the perfect host, nothing isn't too much trouble for this gentlemen. We have met him now a few times and I would class him a friend. Keep up the good work Peter you should be so proude of the lodge it really is lovely.

A lovely quirky place, the owner was very welcoming and made a cracking breakfast. The room was very spacious with a fantastic lounge area. We would happily go back again. It has great pubs near by where the food selection is so good stretchy pants are needed.

Fabulous room, spotlessly clean and cosy feel. Just what we wanted for a family birthday chill out evening after a fun filled day.
Wonderful shower and everything in the room that we needed.

We were attending a birthday party at the nearby golf club and after searching locally for a luxury hotel with trip advisor, Peters excellent accommodation was listed.
After sending an enquiry Peter rang offering a room with breakfast for a very reasonable fee.
Peter rang us a few days before our visit to ask our arrival time so he could meet us consequently we were greeted with a welcoming smile, shown to our suite and offered a glass of complimentary glass of wine, most appreciated.
The suite was spotless, very comfortable and enhanced by a superb breakfast served at our selected time with food again selected by us from a wide choice.
It was an excellent stay and if we are ever in the area again will stay again with Peter as the service and quality were perfect. Thanks.Phillip T

Peter is such a kind person it felt we were visiting a friend not as customers.The accommodation is to a very high standard with wonderful decor. Breakfast was just perfect. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this to any of my friends. Thank you very much Peter.
